The Jesus Guy in Jerusalem

The Jesus guy delivers a couple of video messages from Jerusalem telling us what he is up to. The subject of our movie has been invited by the Superior at the Jesuit House in Jerusalem, Father Joseph Nguyen, to do a one month discernment meditative program, a spiritual exercise of Saint Ignatius. His retreat will take place at the hermitage at Gethsemane, and will include Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Click on the links, there are 3 different videos 1, 2, 3

I met James in Jerusalem as a Canadian student studying abroad there - several times without planning it. We broke bread, talked, prayed, and walked around the historic Holy City. He left an unmistakable impression on my mind. No doubt, this encounter was a significant step in my journey to know Christ.

Dear James, Thank you, dear soul, for this inspiring video of your visit to Jerusalem at the 9th Station of the Cross and your most wonderful talk on our need for spiritual practice and exercise. Your message on the Mystery of Jesus' death and the death of the old self is much needed and appreciated. How I wish more people knew, too, of the 'unitive stage' of St. Ignatius' disciplines wherein we fellow Christians can become ONE with our Lord through our devotions and reflections upon Him. Thank you, James, for reminding us of this. Thank you, for reminding us, also, that our Lord has a human heart, as well as a divine heart, and that this makes Him so approachable and welcoming and understanding. Yes, how we need to become ONE with our Lord! Dear brother, may you continue to reach deeper and deeper depths of the Heart of Love as you serve our ever-faithful Lord. And may this 'resurrection of the spirit' you are experiencing continue to bless you and empower you for our Lord's service as never known by you before! Thank you, again, and know that I am praying for you, James, and am holding you up in prayer! In God's Love, your friend, Mack Ethridge.

PS: James, I, too, have a ministry (though I am not a minister) which I share at www.themercyrose.com -- perhaps sometime you could visit it, and receive a blessing thereby. My love, in Jesus' name, I extend to you!
