TJG Featured in the Examiner

The Jesus Guy was recently featured in a November 22nd article on The Examiner, a local online source for news and events. The article revealed that “The Jesus Guy” has been spotted in downtown Tampa, FL.

“If you see a man in Tampa with long hair, a beard, and a white robe, don’t be alarmed. You are not experiencing hallucinations or a religious vision.”

Jeffery Ramon, the author of the article, had a chance to sit down and talk with James about his journey. James has been in Tampa for about a year now with no immediate plans to travel elsewhere.

James Journeys to Israel

On Tuesday, March 30th we got an unexpected call from James Joseph (the Jesus Guy): he is in Israel for Holy Week! A friend of his who works for Delta Airlines invited him to go for free, and while he is wearing "ordinary" clothes at the airport and major checkpoints, James says his normal robe attire is creating quite a shock.
On Monday he arrived in Tel Aviv, Israel and he is currently in Ramallah, a city that serves as the capital of the Palestinian National Authority. He tells us that this is where many Christians live, and it is extremely fascinating for him to interact with the Palestinians.
We all look forward to hearing more about TJG's adventure overseas!

Tampa Sighting

Comment posted 1/11/10 on The Jesus Guy's YouTube Trailer page:

"I talked to this guy on Saturday. Currently he is in Tampa, Florida. He is not a bum or crazy in the head, he doesn't call himself "Jesus". He calls himself James and he is actually like a priest in the words that he says to people. He is a nice person and has no anger in him at all. His clothes are pure white, his teeth are clean, and he looks like he takes a shower every day, which ultimately means that he is not a bum. His clothes are to symbolize that he is a preacher and a follower of God. What I am trying to say is to not discriminate against him."
